Scammers
To catch a scammer, look out for the following:
- There is always just one last puppy available
- There are always several people already interested in
the last puppy - They are never situated close to you so you can go and
visit the babies - They always have an excuse not to do a video call
- The price is always TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Always ask for the following from any breeder
- Insist on a video call to see the mom and the babies
- In the call ask to see where the babies are kept. Also look at what the rest of the house looks like.
- If there are other dogs look at the condition of the dogs and their behavior. Are they relaxed, playing, doing
there own thing or do they scatter and run away when the people get near them - Always ask for the vet’s name and the name of the practice that they deal with to do the vaccinations for
them. Don’t ask for any phone numbers of the vet. Go to Google and check that the name of the vet and the
practice tie up with one another. Then phone the vet and ask if they know the breeder and if they do the
vaccinations for them. - Remember, scammers don’t have puppies to take to the vet and back yard breeders and puppy farmers are
not popular with vets and most of the time, they do their own Vaccinations in any case.
